Automatic Bill Payment

How Automatic Bill Payment works

  • With your approval, your bank or credit union will automatically deduct your monthly OPPD electric service bill from your checking or savings account. You won't have to worry about losing your discount or paying your bill when you're out of town or on vacation. Plus, you'll save time and postage and write fewer checks. And, there is no charge from OPPD for this service.
  • OPPD will send you a copy of your bill by mail at least 15 days before your electric service bill is deducted from your account. If you have a question about your bill, you can call OPPD for the answer before payment is made. If the bill looks okay, relax and let your bank or credit union deduct the amount of your electric service bill from your account - automatically.
  • The amount of your bill will be on your bank statement. Although you won't have a check for your receipt, the deduction for your monthly OPPD electric service bill will be shown on your account statement each month.

We will send you an Automatic Bill Payment Request form which you may complete and send to OPPD along with your current electric service bill payment. And please include a voided check or bank deposit slip. Your authorization will be placed on file at OPPD, and we will make the necessary arrangements.
